This small village in the heart of Oaxaca state is famous for its alebrijes - carved from wood and then brightly painted figures, sold everywhere in Oaxaca and beyond.
Quiet beach village and sea turtle center, located very close to the southernmost point of Oaxaca state of Mexico (and also close to better-known Puerto Ángel and Zipolite).
As the name might suggest, this village is famous worldwide for the strong alcohol it produces. Obviously, the main sightseeing in the village are tequila factories.
